Shabir Shah attacked in Tihar, nature of injury not known, alleges Dr Bilqees Shah | KNO

Srinagar, February 24 (KNO) : Senior Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah has been attacked in Tihar Jail however the nature of his injuries is not known , alleged his wife on Sunday. "I have been told from delhi by some people that Shah sahab has been attacked but what is the nature of his injuries and is he critical that is not known," Dr Bilqees told KNO. According to Dr Bilqees, Shobha Bharvai had called her from Delhi giving her confirmation that Shabir Shah has been attacked inside prison. "She told me that they have confirmed from certain agencies that Shah has been attacked inside high security prison," she said. When asked did she approach any state authorities over the issue, she said that state has been continuously telling her that they have nothing to do with his case as he is with Delhi. "They have not even let met meet him and that would have cleared many things but they are not allowing me, nor they are coming clear on the issue of his safety," she said. Meanwhile, Democratic Freedom Party leaders questioned the silence of government and the Tihar Jail authorities over the fate of Shabir Shah's health.(KNO)
